Eight Inch are a design company at the forefront of sustainability and sole suppliers of RESILICA furniture, surfaces and products. They were formed in 2000 by furniture/industrial designer Gary Nicholson to specialise in the design, development and manufacture of sustainable materials and products.

RESILICA was developed to address the growing problems of excess waste glass, while Gary was running an environmental research programme at one of the UK’s leading university research centres.The response from other creative and environmentally sympathetic, architects/designers led to the formation of eight inch, as they are very keen to use such a beautiful, hard wearing and sustainable material in their projects.
